Today is the first day of “30 Days of lists” with Kam and Amy!  Through March, there will be one list prompt each day, and by the end you will have 30 lists! I think it will be  a fun way to use a journal or mini book, and a great way to kick start new thoughts and memories for journaling. You can sign up here, it’s only $8 bucks, and join a new group of people with similar interests, find new ideas and tutorials on the private blog, and share your work!

The book I’m going to use for my lists is one I made with mixed papers including used envelopes, painted pages, lined, brown bag, scrapbook, and more. I made this little book to try a new (to me) binding technique, stab binding. I love how each page is different than the last and I think it will make a good list book!

I already had a few lists in this book before I joined the “30 days of lists” group, but the book has way more than 30 pages, so I’m not worried about running out of room. If the prompts are similar/the same of lists I already have I will just try to come up with new items or have doubles, its not a big deal! With some of the pages, like the envelopes, it can be hard to read words because of printing or texture, so I plan on making journal cards to tape or glue onto a page, so its easier to read. The page I chose for todays prompt was the back of a security envelope and would have been hard to read, so I wrote on a piece of leftover acrylic paper and tore it to size, then I stamped on it and taped it onto the envelope page.

“Challenges to Accept”

Looking forward to each new prompt! Also I want to try some different styles, maybe writing one list in water color or doodled block letters…. Should be a lot of fun! If you are doing the “30 days of lists” leave a comment or link to your blog, I’d love to see your lists!

Also, Strathmore Workshop #2 “Watercolor Sketches” starts today! Free to sign up!

Thanks for stopping by!
