Doodle Inspiration

Here are some doodles and lettering from one of my journals:

I have been playing with different letter styles recently, and trying to doodle more. I love pinterest and flickr for doodle inspiration, so much creativity there! I open my journal inspiration board or favorites and scroll through until something sparks an idea or catches my eye. Sometimes its a color combination, other times its a technique I’ve been meaning to try, there is always something to get me going! If that doesn’t work, I just pick a word and try a new way of lettering.

I also like making a continuous scribble doodle and filling it in with faces and other doodles:

Haven’t gotten very far with this one but you get the idea.

Some of my favorite doodle and art journal inspiration blogs are:

As far asΒ  the hat I am knitting, its almost done. I’m down to the ribbing on the second side (hat is worked flat and then seamed). Tried to work on it last night but there was an issue:

There will be no more knitting until I have had my fill of pets……

About kittyisnotamused

I am an eclectic crafter whose hobbies currently include knitting, crochet, making journals, cooking, and quilting, although I have also been addicted to jewelry making, scrapbooking, sewing, and many others. My passion for creating runs a wide gamut and jumps back and forth from new hobbies to old often. I live with my hubby and our 3 pets: 1 grown puppy with the attention span of a goldfish, and 2 lazy chubby kitties. Kitties who, despite my best efforts to gain their enthusiasm, show no interest in what I'm working on except to lay on whatever it is occasionally. The hubby's reactions are better, which is why he gets many handmade items and the kitties only a few, but his reactions are usually confused smiles and nods with "thats great sweety!" The dog shows the most enthusiasm but mostly that translates into her trying to snot and eat whatever I am showing to her... I suppose thats just life tho :) Thanks for stopping in, feel free to leave a comment!
