A silly dog, some old buildings, and a good weekend

Took a drive up to the local-ish national park this past weekend. We had fun and the puppers loved it! Played in the water at the lake, sniffed around the woods (the dog, not us lol) and got lots of head-hanging-out-the-window-wind-in-the-face time (again, just the dog, although the hubby has done that before… :D). We had great weather and it was a nice drive, and I found some more cool looking old buildings! Good trip for everybody!

Look at that sexy guy!!

Our dog isn’t very fond of water, so her being out that far by herself is a big deal! Didn’t last too long tho, I think something touched her foot….

What was THAT?! Something touched me!

Ack, splashing! I hate splashing!

No choice but to jump the 15 feet to shore then!! I can do it!

Is it following me!?!?!

It almost got me!

She is a crazy, funny dog! After that she wouldn’t go out very far by herself, she kept looking at us like we were trying to feed her to the sharks and she was onto us when we tried to coax her to go back out. She’s insane. So she fits right into our family lol πŸ™‚

Now the old building we stumbled across that I instantly liked:

Not sure why but I really liked this building as soon as I saw it and knew that I wanted to get pictures of it on the way back! I love old buildings!

This was a burned out building we passed by, didn’t stop to get more pics because there really wasn’t much left. But I still thought it looked pretty cool. There were a few other cool buildings but my camera wouldn’t cooperate, and I didn’t want to have to keep turning around to go back, so they will have to wait until next time.

On an unrelated note, I am still LOVING the journal fodder 365 book! I decided to make a new journal to use for the prompts and ideas from this book (because none of the dozen or so I already have were quite right ;P) I’m going to work on the pages and then bind it, since I couldn’t agree with myself on how I wanted to bind it yet andΒ  we have company coming, so I didn’t want to make a mess of the spare bedroom/my craft room after I had just cleaned it πŸ™‚ That means I don’t have to wait to get started, and that is AWESOME, because I hate waiting! Hopefully this plan goes fairly smoothly, I’ve never made a journal this way before, although I have heard of other people making all their journals this way, so there is hope that it can be done!

Hope you are having a great day! Thanks so much for stopping by!!

About kittyisnotamused

I am an eclectic crafter whose hobbies currently include knitting, crochet, making journals, cooking, and quilting, although I have also been addicted to jewelry making, scrapbooking, sewing, and many others. My passion for creating runs a wide gamut and jumps back and forth from new hobbies to old often. I live with my hubby and our 3 pets: 1 grown puppy with the attention span of a goldfish, and 2 lazy chubby kitties. Kitties who, despite my best efforts to gain their enthusiasm, show no interest in what I'm working on except to lay on whatever it is occasionally. The hubby's reactions are better, which is why he gets many handmade items and the kitties only a few, but his reactions are usually confused smiles and nods with "thats great sweety!" The dog shows the most enthusiasm but mostly that translates into her trying to snot and eat whatever I am showing to her... I suppose thats just life tho :) Thanks for stopping in, feel free to leave a comment!
