New Journal pages

I am absolutely loving the Journal fodder 365! I have been taking my time reading it and working on pages in my “journal” as I go. Working on loose pages has been a new experience for me, not sure how I like it yet.

These pages were made with watercolor -pencils, -crayons, and -paints, micron pens, magazine cutouts, glue sticks, security envelopes, regular colored pencils, stencils, tags and saved paper bits, inks and stamps.

The book has great prompts and writing ideas, that help you to look at yourself and the world around you more in depth. As of yet, I haven’t actually written anything on these pages (obviously, lol) but I wanted to post what they look like now, because after I do write on them I’m not sure I would want to post that online. I realize I could blur things out if I didn’t want anyone being able to read it, but why go to the trouble when I can just post them now πŸ™‚

I totally recommend this book if you are into art journaling but don’t always know what to write, or if you are looking for meaningful prompts and fun techniques to go back to if you get stuck at the blank page. You can also check out the journal junkies blog here.

Thanks for stopping by!!

About kittyisnotamused

I am an eclectic crafter whose hobbies currently include knitting, crochet, making journals, cooking, and quilting, although I have also been addicted to jewelry making, scrapbooking, sewing, and many others. My passion for creating runs a wide gamut and jumps back and forth from new hobbies to old often. I live with my hubby and our 3 pets: 1 grown puppy with the attention span of a goldfish, and 2 lazy chubby kitties. Kitties who, despite my best efforts to gain their enthusiasm, show no interest in what I'm working on except to lay on whatever it is occasionally. The hubby's reactions are better, which is why he gets many handmade items and the kitties only a few, but his reactions are usually confused smiles and nods with "thats great sweety!" The dog shows the most enthusiasm but mostly that translates into her trying to snot and eat whatever I am showing to her... I suppose thats just life tho :) Thanks for stopping in, feel free to leave a comment!

I really like the fortune about the “ship/harbor” you put on the journal page…it rings so true to me, and is something many people I know just don’t seem to understand. I also like the way you integrated real items/photos with your drawing.

  2. These pages are beautiful!

Getting a new book and actually working through it is always great. Love your pages, and good that you will write personal stuff and don’t feel the need to share. I do that to sometimes, write after I’ve taken a first set of photos and then decide if I want to share them w. or without the scribbles…

  4. Your pages are beautiful and the technique is so cool..Oh Oh! another book I am going to need to buy very soon:)
