Have you been down the drywall aisle at Lowe’s recently and picked yourself up some self adhesive drywall tape? The one with the awesome circles? Cause I have, and I love it!! We were there looking at shelves for my craft room (yay!) and eventually ended up wandering by the drywall tape. I had to get some, it was only $5 and has 100 feet! Happy! Then I thought “would that work on the gelli plate?” (yeah, it’s a full blown obsession. I admit it) and guess what? It works awesome! Let me show you:
These two pages were made by applying the tape to a blank page, then layering gelli prints over it. I love the texture and the little circles! The awesome little circles make me really happy!
This one is the secondary pull of the print above it. How fun is that?! The backing strips of paper from the tape can also be used as stencils, either to add all over dots, or selectively placed highlights. I love using the paper strips to add a little bit of black to the pages, it really brings the page together. And I love dots 🙂
Some more fun prints 🙂
There are many, many more, but I promise not to bore you 🙂 Plus all that scanning and uploading could be time spent making more prints!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
