I sat down and made a new art journal page the other day with a couple of my gelli plate prints and I love how it turned out! The scanner doesn’t do this page justice, it has beautiful bright colors and fun textures! I used a gelli print for the base, tore some gelli printed tissue paper into strips and glued them on, added some large size hexagons from the stencil I made recently, punched out some butterflies in 2 different sizes from some more gelli printed paper, and added some drywall tape that I had sprayed with some watered down acrylic spray paints. Added some black ink, micron and gel pen, and I called it done!
The quote says “Let yourself be silently drawn by the strange pull of what you really love. It will not lead you astray.” ~Rumi
The hexagons are saved pieces from one of the most recent stencils I made:
I have been on a bit of a hexagon kick lately, and so I need a hexagon stencil in every size 🙂 you can see the other stencils I made here and you can check out how to make your own stencils with the video from ‘sweetpaganrose’ on youtube here.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
