The Blah-ness

So it seems that I was a little overly optimistic about feeling better last week 😦 Since my last post there has been more feeling foggy headed and stuffy, sore throat, another Dr’s visit, meds, lots of sleeping, and a ton of water and orange juice. I have my fingers crossed that I will actually start to feel better this time.

With this feeling of “blah-ness” I haven’t done much creating, although I did manage to make a friend a birthday card and handmade envelope, and little by little do a background in my art journal. Feels like a major accomplishment!

First up, card front and back:

DSC_0119 DSC_0125I used a two sided gelly print for the card, added a stamp on a tag, some washi tapes, and some star shapes punched out of gelli prints. I saw something I thought was great on pinterest, and I tweaked it a little to work for a birthday card instead of a valentine’s day card. Mine says “To show what a great friend you are, I knit you something really complicated….it turned out awesome, so I kept it. Happy Birthday! (I’ll try harder next year πŸ˜› )” I think she’ll like it πŸ™‚ (you can check out the original sentiment by imadeitso here)

This is the envelope I made for the card:DSC_0129 DSC_0130

And inspired by the envelope, I made a background spread in my journal:DSC_0134Watered down acrylics in spray bottles, and stencils. Easy background when you’re feeling Blah.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

About kittyisnotamused

I am an eclectic crafter whose hobbies currently include knitting, crochet, making journals, cooking, and quilting, although I have also been addicted to jewelry making, scrapbooking, sewing, and many others. My passion for creating runs a wide gamut and jumps back and forth from new hobbies to old often. I live with my hubby and our 3 pets: 1 grown puppy with the attention span of a goldfish, and 2 lazy chubby kitties. Kitties who, despite my best efforts to gain their enthusiasm, show no interest in what I'm working on except to lay on whatever it is occasionally. The hubby's reactions are better, which is why he gets many handmade items and the kitties only a few, but his reactions are usually confused smiles and nods with "thats great sweety!" The dog shows the most enthusiasm but mostly that translates into her trying to snot and eat whatever I am showing to her... I suppose thats just life tho :) Thanks for stopping in, feel free to leave a comment!
